As most of us are starting tomorrow Monday 3rd January 2022 our new work year, it’s a good time to set goals to improve our business in 2022. I am sharing here my planning framework. Let me know if you find it helpful!
Step 1:
Reflect on last year. What did you achieve in your photography business? What worked well, which were your wins?
Write down your 2021 achievements. No matter how big or how small they were. Include personal wins too. Make a list of which of these wins you want to repeat.
Step 2:
What didn’t work in 2021? What’s the lesson? Can you identify any places where you can improve?
Some things didn’t go to plan. We humans learn from our mistakes, that’s how we grow. It’s never too late to improve and to do it better next time.
Step 3:
Think about WHY these things didn’t go to plan. What was the reason? What has held you back?
Write down the reasons and the things that held you back. Is it organizational nature? Your mindset? Limiting beliefs? What do you want to let go in 2022?
Step 4:
Create the vision for 2022. What wins and goals do you want to see in your life and business?
Allow yourself to dream big. If the world was perfect – what would you like to achieve in 2022? Let yourself feel abundant and get excited about what’s going to be possible in 2022.
Step 5:
Where do you want to focus on? Can you narrow down to a few most important things that are really important to you? How can you commit to that every day?
Just focus on a few things that are non-negotiable for you in 2022. And then get laser-focused on how you’re going to make it happen.I think it’s important to go all in on just a few ambitious goals rather than only halfway commit to a ton of little goals.
